SBL Fayette County Hospital & Long Term Care

We recently learned that two of our employees in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care have tested positive for COVID-19.

All the residents and employees in the Long Term Care facility have been tested, and the good news is that they are all negative. We have shared this information with the family members of our residents. We are committed to being transparent with our community, as well.

Our two employees are quarantined and contact tracing is being conducted by the Fayette County Health Department. We are working with the Health Department to ensure the safety of our residents and staff members. The staff has been a wonderful resource.

In compliance with the Illinois Department of Public Health, we continue to test all long-term care residents and staff every seven days until we are 14 days without a positive test result. Thereafter, we will test every 14 days.

Unfortunately outdoor visits are suspended until we have achieved 14 days of no new cases. Family members and friends may still continue to window visits or FaceTime and Facebook Messenger visits. Please let the staff know how we can accommodate window and online visits.

Thank you for the continued support of our healthcare workers and our Long Term Care residents.
