CEO Message - Coronavirus
Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital & Long Term Care is taking the COVID-19 pandemic very seriously and is adhering closely to the mandates and guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and the Illinois State Department of Public Health. Such mandates and guidelines are changing frequently, and we are monitoring those changes constantly and modifying our plans and preparations accordingly. Our compassionate and professional employees are aware that in our business we must be here to care for our patients, including diagnosing illnesses with which patients enter our doors. We are always open.
While we are always open, it is imperative that people stay home as much as possible. We hear over and over that people should only go places when essential, and we firmly believe that is what must be done in order to minimize the number of COVID-19 cases. Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of illness should CALL the hospital or the physician office to speak with someone before showing up. We will be able to screen patients and determine from the screenings whether or not patients require further testing. The Center for Disease Control and the Illinois Department of Public Health have given us strict criteria to follow in order to decide if a patient qualifies for a COVID-19 test. We will follow the criteria.
As things change during this time of uncertainty created by this pandemic, we will do our very best to provide updates as we receive them. PLEASE stay home and stay well.
