No Visitor Policy


Effective March 30, 2020, FCH Enforcing No Visitor Policy

Effective March 30, 2020 at 7:00 a.m., Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital will be enforcing the No Visitor Policy. The purpose of this policy is to help ensure the safety, health and wellness of our patients, community and team members during the COVID-19 outbreak. There will be exceptions to this policy for special circumstances, which include but are not limited to the following:

1. Critical patients undergoing emergency care

2. Patients who are critically ill

3. Patients that are terminal/near end of life or receiving Hospice care

4. Patients undergoing emergent surgical procedures are permitted one support person over the age of 18

5. Pediatric patients may have one parent or guardian present as their support person

6. Visitors under the age of 18 will continue to be prohibited unless they are the parent of a child receiving care

7. Patients reporting for outpatient services (lab draws, x-rays, etc.) should ask their support person to remain in their vehicle for the duration of the hospital visit

8. Patients receiving services in the Emergency Department that are not critical or life threatening should ask their support person to remain in their vehicle for the duration of the hospital visit. Emergency Department staff will communicate via cell phone with the support person

9. Other special circumstances will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
